Contest rules
The Costume Corral is an independent, fan-run contest. Here is how it works, in plain language.
Free to enter and vote
It is free to enter and free to vote. No purchase is necessary.
Who can take part
Voters and uploaders must be 18 or older.
When you sign up, you confirm that you are 18 or older, that you took the photos you upload, and that you grant this site a license to display them.
How the contest works
- Anyone can browse. Signed-in members can upload photos, rate photos, report photos and make a claim.
- Each upload is sorted into one costume category and screened for safety.
- Photos are rated from 1 to 5 stars, one at a time.
- The top entry in each category advances to a final round that picks the overall winner.
How winners are chosen
Winners are chosen by public ratings, plus an eligibility review by the site admin.

The prize goes to the costumed runner. The photographer gets credit on the photo.
How winners claim a prize
The costumed runner confirms who they are through the claim flow (the “This is me” form), and the admin checks that identity before a prize is awarded.
Prize delivery
To be confirmed by the organizer before any prize is awarded.

Not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by X, New York Road Runners, or any brand unless listed as a confirmed sponsor.
